Our backplane will be connected to our ADC and DAC boards using Hirose U.FL connectors. This will ensure that our digital signals are preserved as much as possible, especially on the DAC front, where sampling could reach 1.5 MHz, which translates into 48 MHz for full 32-bit encoding. The backplane will need 34 of these connectors:
- 16 individual inputs
- 16 individual outputs
- 2 mixed outputs
