Multiple XMOS Devices

This project confirms that multiple XMOS devices can be connected to each other through the xCONNECT crossbar switch. This means that we could use more than one device if we need more I/Os on our backplane, or that we could use the xCONNECT crossbar switch as an alternative path between the backplane and a digital submodule powered by an XMOS device.

Using the xCONNECT path would significantly increase bandwidth between the primary XMOS device and the submodule, while reducing load on the former. If we want to do that, we should allocate a set of pins on the submodule interconnect that could be used for custom protocols.
