Arduino Pin Mapping

The Arduino Uno provides the following pins:

18 Digital Pins

  • 2 for Serial Port: 0 (RX) and 1 (TX)
  • 4 for I²C Bus
  • 12 Digital Inputs/Outputs (2 to 13)

6 Analog Pins

  • 6 Analog Inputs (A0 to A5)

6 Power Pins

  • VIN
  • 5V
  • 3V3
  • GND
  • IOREF
  • AREF

As a result, we have 30 pins to map, which will require two separate AD75019 analog crosspoint switches. The 18 digital pins will be mappable to digital endpoints, while the 12 analog and power pins will be mappable to analog endpoints. We might prevent the mapping of some power pins. Also, we do not see the need for mapping the strandard Reset pin (this might change in the future).
